本品系从鸡蛋黄提取精制而得，含磷脂酰胆碱（Phosphatidyl Choline）应为72.0%～85.0%；含磷脂酰乙醇胺(Phosphatidyl ethanolamine)应为5.0%～15.0%；含氮（N）应为1.75～1.95%，含磷（P）应为3.5～4.1%。

【性状】本品为乳白色或淡黄色粉末状或蜡状固体，具有轻微的特臭，触摸时有轻微滑腻感。

本品在氯仿、甲醇中极易溶解，在diethyl ether中易溶，在苯、石油醚中溶解，在丙酮中不溶，在水中几乎不溶。
