Therapeutic indications
Salicylic acid analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, anti-rheumatic and platelet aggregation inhibitor drugs can be used clinically for the following conditions.
1. Analgesic and antipyretic: It can relieve mild or moderate pain, such as headache, toothache, neuralgia, muscle pain and menstrual pain. It is also used to reduce fever such as colds and flu. This product can only relieve symptoms but cannot treat the causes of pain and fever. Therefore, other drugs must be used at the same time to treat the cause.
2. Anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic: It is the drug of choice for the treatment of rheumatic fever. After use, it can relieve fever, reduce inflammation, improve joint symptoms, and reduce erythrocyte sedimentation rate. However, it cannot remove the basic pathological changes of rheumatism, nor can it prevent heart damage and other complications.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
1. Analgesic effect: Mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins and other substances that can make pain sensitive to mechanical or chemical stimulation (such as bradykinin, histamine), it is a peripheral analgesic.
2. Anti-inflammatory effect; the exact mechanism is not yet clear. It may be that this product acts on inflammatory tissues, inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins or other substances that can cause inflammatory reactions (such as histamine), and plays an anti-inflammatory effect, inhibiting lysosomes. The release of enzymes and leukocyte activity may also be related to it;
3. Antipyretic effect: It may act on the hypothalamus thermoregulatory center to cause peripheral blood vessel dilation, increased skin blood flow, sweating, and increased heat dissipation, thereby acting as an antipyretic;
4.Inhibition of platelet aggregation: It works by inhibiting prostaglandin cyclooxygenase of platelets, thereby preventing the formation of TXA2.
